Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Society for Horticultural Sciences (ISHS) and the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce the XV International Pear Symposium, which will take place in Lleida (Catalonia), Spain, from 30 May to 3 June 2027. Lleida is in the Ebro Valley, in northeastern Spain, a region well known for its extensive pear orchards and strong Pome and Stone fruit production sector.

The symposium will be convened by Dr Luis Asín from IRTA (Research Institute of Food and Agriculture) and will be organized under the auspices of the ISHS Division Temperate Tree Fruits and ISHS Working Group European and Asian Pears, with the support of the ISHS Division Plant-Environment Interactions in Field Systems.

The program will include scientific sessions with oral and poster presentations focused on the main challenges and advances in pear research and production. In addition, there will be workshops, technical tours, a conference dinner, and other social activities designed to encourage interaction and networking among participants.

Rootstock And Cultivar Breeding and Evaluation
Orchard Design, Training and Pruning Systems
Nutrition, Soil and Water Management
Fruit Set Control and Growth Regulators
